Article Date: 2003-04-11 This is a very clean site for those of you who like it simple and to the point. The site is Mainly HTML with a few nice Flash Additions.
Notice the use of Frames. The header, which is in Flash is in one frame and the rest of the site is constructed in a 2nd frame. Not only does this make the site "feel" consistent, it saves on bandwidth.
Think about it. If they had the flash banner at the top on every single sub page, they'd be killing their bandwidth. With the site how they have it designed now, the header loads once per visit, which cuts the bandwidth, not to mention load time for those on dial-up! This also makes it easy for those of us who need to use the back button to remember the last page we were on!
